2 missing children sofocated and died inside an abandoned vehicle in Ketu

The corpses of two toddlers, Toheeb Adedokun and Tajudeen Falilu, who disappeared in January in Ketu were recently discovered in an abandoned vehicle.

The missing children were suspected to have been kidnapped when all efforts to locate them proved abortive. However, the corpses of the children were found in an abandoned vehicle, two houses away from their parents' home on Taike Street.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez dies at 58.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has passed away at the age of 58 following a two-years-long fight against cancer and a severe respiratory infection.

His untimely demise raises serious questions about the future of the oil-rich regional power.

The president of Venezuela died on Tuesday, said Vice President Nicolas Maduro.

This comes weeks after his return from Cuba where he underwent a cancer operation. His 'delicate condition' had recently worsened due to complications of a respiratory infection, and official reports said he was breathing through a tracheal tube, unable to speak.

One of the world’s best-known socialist leaders and a staunch critic of the United States, Chavez had been battling the disease for nearly two years, undergoing four surgeries and several sessions of chemotherapy in Havana.

Despite his ailing health, Chavez was reelected in November to a fourth term. However, he was not able to attend his January 10 inauguration ceremony, which cast doubt on the succession of power in the country.

Homeless Man Has Been Living In A Grave For The Last 15 Years

A homeless man has told how he began sleeping with the dead when he moved into a cemetery 15 years ago. 

Bratislav Stojanovic, 43, has shared the burial plot with the ashes of a a family who died out more than 100 years ago in Nis, Serbia. But after giving the grave a changing tombs-style makeover the former construction worker said he feels at home. He said: 'It is dry and it is warm. I have some lamps and my personal possessions. 'It isn't a palace but it is more comfortable than the street.'

The Ojota Studios facility, which is home to both M-Net and SuperSport productions went up in flames two days ago. And the cause of the fire is still being investigated.

Fortunately,  one was hurt.

M-Net has confirmed though, that the fire will not affect its plans for next weekend when it hosts its inaugural AfricaMagic Viewers' Choice Awards, in association with MultiChoice, which is to be screened live from Lagos to over 50 countries on the African continent.

With a net worth of $16.1bn as of March 2013, the President of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, moved up in the latest world richest ranking from to number 43 from 76 in 2012.

According to the list which was released on Monday by Forbes, Dangote and the Chairman of Globalom, Dr. Mike Adenuga were the only Nigerians on the list.

Adenuga ranked 269 on the list with a net worth of $4.7bn. Dangote, however, retained his position as the richest man in Africa and the richest among manufacturers in the world with a net worth of $16.1bn.

Suspected Boko Haram Members Kill DPO, Nine Others In Borno

Barely 17 hours after the assassination of Mobile Police Training Camp (MPTC) Commandant and a traditional ruler, gunmen suspected of Boko Haram sect members attacked the Gwoza Divisional Police Station and Mainstreet bank, killing the Divisional Police Officer, Abubakar Digire Ahamdu, his deputy and eight civilians caught up in the crossfire at 9pm Monday.

Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno state is a border town with Cameroun; and 135 kilometres south-east of Maiduguri, the state capital and epicenter of activities of Islamist sect group.

The gunmen, according to a residents who do not want their name mentioned for security reasons said that the attackers used Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and petrol-bombs in torching the police station and the bank, before carting away undisclosed sums of money from the bank, 750 metres away from the torched station.

SOS question. What is Shawa called in English?

I've been cracking my brain, searching all over the internet and asking my colleagues one simple question. What is Shawa fish called in English but nobody seems to have the answer. So, I've decided to bring the question to my blog and see if I'll get answer to my question.

For those of you who do not know what Shawa looks like, it's some long, thin fish that is very common in Lagos. It's usually sold in 4s and 5s partially smoked and bent round.

It's tasteless when used or eaten like that but recently, someone has been supplying it to us very well seasoned with a lot of pepper. It really tastes nice that way but the bad thing is you can't stop once you start.

I beg, if you know what Shawa is called in English, tell us.

Bobby Brown is sentenced to 55 days in jail

Bobby Brown is reportedly heading to jail. He was sentenced to 55 days in prison on Tuesday, according to TMZ.

The 44-year-old was handed down the jail term after being arrested for drink driving for the third time back in October last year.

As well as prison time, Brown was given four years probation and ordered to complete an 18-month alcohol program.

Need human hair? This family has too much of it!

This family has such long and thick hair that they have to be very careful in the house not to step on their hair.

Their mother's hair is a whole 6feet long! Longer than her body. Her daughters also inherited the long hair genes and they've all learnt to help each other braid and take care of their hair.

Sometimes, they cut and donate about 20 inches of their hair.

Their Mom, Russel said to her, short hair means just above her waist!

I want some of this hair!
