Alleged Cannibal Clifford Orji dies in Kirikiri Prison

I'm sure most Nigerians remember Clifford Orji who first made news about 13 years ago as the horrid man who roasted and ate human flesh. It was even said that lots of body parts were found stored in his freezer which he claimed he sold to notable politicians for rituals. 

He was arrested in 1999 under the bridge at Toyota Bus Stop along the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway in Lagos  and some people said he was mad at the time while others said he was a ritualise and not actually mad. 

While in  Kirikiri Mazimum Prison, he totally went mad, going about naked, vomiting and even defecating on himself. 

The bad thing is that he was never at any time admitted into any psychiatric home for treatment as most of the homes rejected him. 

He finally died on Friday, 17th August in his sleep at 46 years old

16 swept away in Kuramo Beach Ocean surge

High waves accompanied by ocean surge swept away 16 persons in Lagos around 2am this morning. One victim was reported dead. The police confirmed the body was recovered. The victims include 11 traders in a boat, four picknickers and a diver. Scene of disaster was Kuramo Beach on Victoria Island.

Face of a father who continuously raped his 14 year old daughter for 7 years!

What a sad sad tale. Too many very sick people are going about, abusing innocent children and stealing away their innocence. This is indeed a most despicable act. 

A 45-year old bricklayer, Elijah Olusesi who has been having sex with his 14-year old daughter (name withheld) since she was  seven, has been apprehended by members of O’odua Peoples Congress, OPC.

He was caught by the OPC members who had laid ambush for him at Adeosun Street, Adiyan, a remote community in Ifo Local Government, Ogun State, Southwest Nigeria.

His wife, Shade, had fled to Adiyan when the man started sleeping with the little girl.

It was learnt by our correspondents that he evaded arrest for 15 days before his eventual arrest in the midnight recently.

24 year old man pierced through head by 6ft pole miraculously survives.

Miracles still happen, that's the only explanation I have for this very fortunate  24-year-old construction worker who survived after a 6-foot metal bar fell from above and pierced his head. 

Luiz Alexandre Essinger, chief of staff at Rio de Janeiro's Miguel Couto Hospital, said doctors successfully withdrew the iron bar from Eduardo Leite's skull during a five-hour surgery.

The bar fell from the fifth floor of a building under construction, went through Leite's hard hat, entered the back of his skull and exited between his eyes, Essinger said, adding: 'It really was a miracle' that Leite survived. 

Leite was conscious when he arrived at the hospital and narrated what had happened. He was lucid and showed no negative consequences after the operation. 

What a lucky break! He sure cheated death. 

2 Friends Gang-Rape Teenager, Take Victim’s Nude Photo With Phone

A 17-year old girl (name withheld) has narrated before an Ejigbo magistrate’s court in Lagos, how two friends, Ekene Uzor, 24, and Eni Daniel, 21, allegedly gang-raped her after they had forced her to suck their penises. They also took her nude photo with their camera phones.

The teenager was giving evidence before the court in a two-count charge of forcing her to suck the defendants’ penises and gang-raping her.

At Thursday’s resumed hearing before the trial magistrate, Mrs. M.B. Folami, the girl said she knew Daniel Uzor, who is in the entertainment industry, at her mother’s shop in Surulere, Lagos, southwest Nigeria.

A wife with a 'fiery temper'  Georgina Pontes Furtado Vilela, 47 killed her husband by setting fire to him in bed.

During the two week trial the court heard how HIV-positive Vilela had suffered from depression and felt 'like an incomplete woman' as a result of not being able to bear Mr Vilela children.

The serious house fire she started happened while four of her step-daughters were also in the home.

It had been started in the first floor back bedroom by Georgina, from Walsall, who is believed to have deliberately poured petrol on her 45-year-old husband Carlos, as he lay on the bed.

She then left the property and watched as neighbours and emergency services battled to rescue Carlos and four of his six daughters, aged 13 to 21, who were all trapped inside.

Lady Gaga Steps on stage wearing meat again and vomits mid performance!

I've stopped trying to understand Lady Gaga and her weird ways. Once again, she stepped out in a corset made out of meat with matching ankle boots and fishnet tights as she performed in Bucharest, Romania, last night. 

However, it might have been that her choice of outfit made her feel somewhat nauseous as halfway through the performance, she had to leave the stage to vomit.

36 killed in South African platinum mine clash

Dozens of people were killed after South African police opened fire on hundreds of armed workers on a wildcat strike at a platinum mine, in one of the deadliest days of protest since apartheid.

5 Siblings get married on same day!

Siblings Sydney, Brooke, Bradford, Walker, and Emily Waldie got married recently in Mesa, Arizona as part of a giant wedding. The Waldies, who are Mormon, did not share every single moment of the day together, as they had private separate sacred sealing ceremonies inside the temple. What a tragedy! In Nigeria, you don't have to be in a car to get killed by car accident neither do you have to be in a plane to get killed by air accident. Even our homes are no longer immune to transport accidents how much more our roads. 

According to PUNCH, Three people lost their lives while two others were injured on Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway in Lagos on Thursday after a driver,  Oladimeji Olaniyi, lost control of his car, which rammed into the victims.

20,000 pairs of 'very good' fake designers shoes coming in from China seized by U.S. border

Very recently, a female friend sent me a picture of her colleague's broken heels. She had won a pair of designer shoes which she bought from the UK to work and the heels gave way the day she launched them to work. What was most annoying was that she paid an equivalent of N30,000 for them. Luckily for her, she didn't sustain any injuries. 
We all wondered how she went all the way to the UK and came back with a fake pair of shoes. I guess we needed not wonder since Chinese fake goods seems to find their way to every market worldwide and they were caught in the US recently.

A 52-year-old man, Abolade Adewole has pleaded with an Ikorodu Customary Court in Lagos to dissolve his marriage of 17 years to his "fetish wife", Kafayat.

"She's fetish; there was a time I saw a horn wrapped in red cloth in my wife's handbag," Adewole told the court. Adewole also said that his wife once incised their five children on the head without his knowledge."I was away for two days and when I got home, my children told me that their mother brought home an Imam who performed the incisions," he added.

38 year old man rapes 5 year old girl in Lagos

I wonder what a man could possibly find attractive on a 5 year old. I mean, a little innocent child without breasts or curves, where does the attraction come from. Could the man possibly be possessed, extremely sex starved, sick or just merely being wicked. Whatever his excuses are, who cares really. I mean, if he's so horney and doesn't have a wife, why doesn't he go hit the wall or more conventionally, pay a whore for the services. 

A 38-year-old man, Oluwadamilare Joseph, was, yesterday, docked before an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court, for allegedly having raping a five-year-old girl.

Joseph, who is unemployed, was said to have sexually-assaulted five- year-old Mary Oluwole.

I hope he rots in jail!

Dog meat sellers want permanent market in Jos

This might not be much of a gist but it sort of sounds strange to me that people will ask for a dog meat market being that lots of people feel that dogs are man's best friend and shouldn't be eaten. Other school of thought say, it's just meat and not different from beef or chicken. As for me, I will rather not even think about it as the thought of it makes me feel sick how much more take anyone's side.
