Company abandons female student after crushing her leg in an accident.

A father, Kayode Agboola, has cried out for help on her daughter, Abiola, whose leg was crushed by a fuel tanker owned by a company, AbdulKadri and Sons.

Abiola was on her way to take the United Tertiary Matriculation Examination on March 24, 2012, when the accident occurred.

Agboola said the company reneged on its promise to take care of his daughter’s medical bills.

Meanwhile, the company does not have a permanent office in Lagos, but its tankers supply fuel to buyers in Lagos.

I hear Patience Jonathan is expected back in the country before the end of September ahead of Nigeria’s 52nd Independence anniversary.

But my question is why is she hospitalised at the Horst Schmidt Klinik in Wiesbaden, Germany.

While a section of the media said she underwent surgery for appendicitis, some others said she was being treated for food poisoning.

Chairman of Panel set up to investigat Dana Airlines says NOTHING IS WRONG with the Airlines!

I met Omoye at my work place but she sooner became more of my friend than my colleague. She was younger than I but was so mature that I found myself asking her opinions on serious decisions. She was so full of love, so calm, so gentle and so beautiful in the inside. Her love was pure.

Federal Government lifts Dana Airline’s suspension

The federal government has lifted the suspension of the Operating Licence of Dana Airlines.

400 children die from lead poisoning in Zamfara

An estimated 400 children have died from the inhalation of lead poison in six communities in Zamfara State due to improper mining practices.

 Hamzat Bala Lawal, the National Coordinator, African Youth Initiative on Climate Change (AYICC), Nigeria chapter, disclosed this on Wednesday in Abuja.

Lawal, who is also the Advisor, Nigerian Youth Climate Action Network (NYCAN), said that the root cause of the lead poisoning crisis was unsafe mining and ore processing.

A spokesperson for the Horst Schmidt Klinik in Wiesbaden, Germany has revealed that the First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan was in a bad state of health when she arrived at the hospital last week.

The hospital’s official, who confirmed that initial records showed that Mrs. Patience Jonathan had earlier been treated for food poisoning in Nigeria before being brought to the Horst Schmidt Klinik, however, said she was responding to treatment after she had undergone a major surgery for a ruptured appendix to remove the poisons in her intestine.

During an eight-minute telephone chat yesterday through telephone number +49611433436, a senior consultant of the hospital who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Mrs. Jonathan was brought to the hospital early last week after the management of the hospital had been contacted and briefed on the deteriorating health condition of the first lady.
