Police Kill Resident At Makoko Waterfront, Arrest 12 Others (Sahara Reporters)

Tragedy struck today at the Makoko waterfront, which is currently under demolition by the Lagos State Government, as a police corporal shot and killed one of the residents who were appealing for more time to pack their properties before the demolition of their homes.
The victim, identified as Timothy Azinpono, was said to be advising protesting residents on how to conduct themselves during a planned peaceful protest before the police corporal aimed and shot at him.
A witness, Mr. Opaloba, who was present during the incident, said children of the affected residents, mainly secondary school students, were peacefully showing placards at a considerable distance from the police and Kick Against Indiscipline [KAI] officials present during the demolition hour but that the rash corporal turned his gun on Mr. Azinpono.

What do you think of D'Banj's 'Oyato'?

Immediately I heard that D'Banj had a new single out, I quickly logged on to 4shared.com to download and listen to it. Wanted to hear it hot and fresh. I was full of anticipation and excitement.

I must say though that I was quite disappointed after listening to the song. There was just something missing. It didn't have the quality of D'Banj's regular songs. In-short, it sounded worse than the very first songs he made. It will definitely flop at a party as well as it doesn't make for good listening. I just couldn't believe that was much anticipated single from D'banj.

According to Channels TV, Faze on Saturday said that he is currently collaborating with his members of his former group to produce a new album.

Faze, who was a guest in Channels Television’s weekend breakfast show – Sunrise, said that the relationship between him, Tuface and blackface is still very cordial and that their break up was for the best interest of their personal career.

The Singer spoke more about his relationship with his girlfriend and their plans to get married soon. He further tells his fans plans to thrill them with new releases soon.

Two Chinese arrested for killing fellow in Kano over money while intoxicated.

Two Chinese nationals – Jimbo Zhao Dang Dong and Smith Zhhang Ze, have been arrested for allegedly killing two other Chinese during a brawl.

During the brawl, the Chinese nationals used dangerous weapons resulting in the deaths of the two men.

The brawl was precipitated by a debt owed the suspects by one of the deceased.

The police are still investigating the remote and immediate causes of the deaths of the men who resided in Kwanar Ganduje quarters of the metropolis while the suspects are being detained at the Bompai Headquarters of the command for allegedly killing Xucheng Kun and his friend identified as 'old man' during the fight.

Sofia Vergara has been named as the highest earning women on TV - just three years after landing her first major series.

The star beat reality star Kim Kardashian to top the Forbes list of TV's highest paid stars.

Colombian born Vergara, 40, earned $19m (£12.7m) in 2011 while Kardashian took in $18m.

The majority of Vergara's bumper pay day came from her business deals rather than he role as Latino mother Gloria on the award winning show where she earns an estimated $100,000 an episode.

60 year old woman burnt to death after a Porsche Cayenne rammed into her

Awwwwch, horrible experience! 

A female motorist has burned to death after a Porsche Cayenne rammed into her car and burst into flames on the M40 motorway.

Drivers watched in horror as the victim, believed to be in her 60s, died after being trapped in her burning car between junctions two and three at Beaconsfield.

Police difuse bomb in Ikeja, Lagos

A bomb has been diffused by the Anti Bomb Squad around Toyin Street, Ikeja, the Lagos State capital.
According to the scanty report, the bomb was found at the Reliance Hotel and they alerted the anti-bomb squad who came to the rescue immediately.
