Have you seen this picture? I was really tripped when I saw it on someone's dp today. Cocacola bottle doesn't seem to have changed much even though they've been around for so so long. Looks like consistency pays afterall. I am totally impressed.

6 year old Kosi Akilo is Back Home

Kosi's family confirmed this morning that the 6 year old who was kidnapped from her family 19 days ago  has finally been reunited with her family after spending that whole time with her abductors.

They say a big thank you to everyone for all their prayers and concern and ask that their privacy should be respected at this time.

After the trauma the family and the little girl went through, they only ask that everyone should rejoice with them and not bombard them just yet with questions of how she was found.

Thank God! Such a sweet little girl.

Kim & Kanye are preparing to move in together!

Barely 2 months  and these guys are already planning on moving in together. According to Life & Style, Kim has quietly put her LA home on sale and will be buying a house with Kanye. 

I wish these two love birds all the best and pray they last longer than a few months.

I just love the complete look. This is Heighl and her husband, Josh Kelley's second adopted child. The first one was adopted from South Korea in 2009 and her little sister just joined her less than a month ago. They all look so adorable, I want a baby too!

Face of a man who suffered in the hands of Charles Taylor's Rebels.

This man, Jabati Mambu is 28 years old. His hand was hacked off by Charles Taylor's Rebels when he was only 15 and has lived that way with thousands of victims who suffered the same fate. Although, he's a goalkeeper for Sierra Leon's amputee football, he was very relieved about Charles Taylor's sentence after an international tribunal convicted him on 11 counts of aiding and abetting the rebels to carry out war crimes.

These people saw loved ones die, children abducted, women raped and homes burned.

The court found Taylor guilty of abetting murder, rape, conscripting child soldiers, sexual slavery and mining diamonds to pay for guns in the decade-long war that ultimately left 50,000 dead or missing.

I hope this verdict begins to heal some of their wounds at least, the mental abuse. 

An Isreali woman chooses her 550 cats over her husband

A man from southern Israel divorced his wife this week because she had brought 550 cats into their home.

The husband, told the Rabbinical Court in Beersheba that he was unable to sleep in his bedroom because the surface of the marital bed was constantly covered with cats who refused to lie on the floor.

The man, in his divorce request, complained that the cats also blocked his access to the bathroom and did not allow him to prepare meals in the kitchen, the Hebrew daily Maariv reported Wednesday. When he sat to eat, cats jumped onto the table and stole his food.

The couple attempted reconciliation at the behest of the rabbinical court. The wife, however, was unable to part from her cats… and preferred to part from her husband

I don't get how a woman chooses cats to her husband!

Unilag Students block 3rd mainland!

Reports just reached me that University of Lagos students have blocked the 3rd Mainland bridge this morning in their protest as a result of President Goodluck Jonathan's resolve to rename the school from University of Lagos to Moshood Abiola University.

 The students are seen standing on BRT buses and other cars on the bridge, preventing motorists from using the bridge.

The students confirmed that they'll continue the protests till the name is reversed back to Unilag.

This is getting serious.

Update: The management of Unilag has ordered the school shut for 2 weeks to prevent damages to goods and property. Students have been asked to vacate the school immediately.

Unilag Renamed Moshood Abiola University!

The University of Lagos, Akoka Unilag has been renamed the Moshood Abiola University by President Goodluck Jonathan during his Democracy Day broadcast today, 29th May.

He said in memory of the Labours of our heroes past not being in vain, the prestigious ivory tower is to be renamed Moshod Abiola University by the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

This is in honour of the acclaimed winner of the June 12,1993 Presidential elections, late Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola.


Students of the University are currently outside the premises protesting and causing a lot of traffic in Yaba. 

Na wa oh, I wonder how that will positively impart on the education system of this country or what difference it will make to our democracy. 

Photograper complained of being roughed by Justin Bieber.

Police want Justin Bieber for quesioning because a photograhoer complained that the was roughpend up by him when he atempted to take a picture of him and his girlfriend, Selena Gomez in a shopping center.

Just looking at Bieber, I wonder how a full grown man can possibly be roughed by the frail looking youngster. Some people just seem to be seeking cheap attention sha.

Oshiomhole denies impregnating 16-year-old AAU, Ekpoma Student

Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, on Monday, denied reports that he impregnated a 16- year old girl.  
News of the People Magazine, a publication by Dockland Communications Limited, had last year published a story alleging that the governor was dating an under-aged girl and had impregnated her.
Oshiomhole subsequently sued Dockland Communications Limited, asking for an unspecified amount of money as damages for the publication.
While testifying as first prosecution witness in a suit between him and Dockland Communications Limited, in a Benin High Court on Monday, the governor said that the story, with the headline ‘Oshiomhole’s Sex Power Exposed: Impregnates young girl six months after death of wife’, which was published on the front page of the magazine last year, impugned his character.

 News is going viral that Dr. Sign Fireman has healed Bedridden Nollywood actor, Enebeli Elebuwa who was  struck by stroke last year and whose health has continued to deteriorate each day. This picture was taken in the process of his healing.  It was even said at some point that his wife threw him out.

After all the noise made about The Avengers especially by our male friends, it's interesting to know that Men in Black 3 beat them to it and won the holiday weekend with an estimated  $55 million Friday-Sunday take. It defeated the Avengers!

It's going to be so exciting making fun of my male friends who think the world of The Avengers. These guys and their love for comic characters. We still love them nonetheless.

We all know "Jersey Shore's" Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi is pregnant but what I just found out on Today Entertainment is she's going to have a little boy. She's been hoping for a girl and was a little disappointed that it turns out to be a boy. She's excited about it though and promises to slow down on the partying.

What is your take on this Dr. Sign Fireman?

I came across Dr. Sign Fireman when someone on a BB group I am in put up a picture of a poster advertising his church. The bold heading was "All the HOT GIRLS in Lagos attend Dr. Fireman's church....apart from you!
The advert was done in hot pink with lots of girls in different shapes on the poster. When I first saw it, I thought it was an advert for a show till I took another look  at it and was shocked at the wordings.

Me, being my usual curious self, googled him and came across this documentary from "Unreported World - Channel 4" Titled 'Nigerian Millionaire Preachers'

It's such a great documentary, I wanted to share it with the whole world.

King of the Jungle

Tall, strong built, blessed with the complexion of the gods; he was the king of the jungle.

He protected his princess like his life depended upon it, he fought off the savages others called bullies. The gods favoured him in the battle field with a shiny sword which he swayed perfectly with his left hand. He was the desire of every woman.

His thunderous voice sent fear into the spine of the savages and made the ladies giddy with the sweetness of the sound. The princess had a choice place although she was quite shy of the king, she was always confident and fearless when he was around. No savage was bold enough to make fun of her or pull on her hair in the presence of the king.

Unfortunately, his princess was taken away only 2 years after. I don't know how he handled it but I know that after little 6 year old Onayimi was whisked away from Kingsley, the class monitor of Primary 1, Utua Primary School, Igarra and went to live with her Aunt; she soon forgot him but never met another love like him.

April Fools Stunt gone bad.

It was 11pm on the 31st of March and I was sleeping after a long drive through terrible traffic from the Island where we just had my younger sister's birthday bash.

My phone beeped; it was an sms from my boyfriend. It read 'Something came up, and I'm on my way to Benin. Moving with a friend, got a night bus, Be good'.

At first, I wanted to ignore it because I was almost certain it was an April Fools stunt, afterall, he doesn't travel by night buses. On a second thought, I decided to call him so that he wouldn't feel I didn't care about him. So, I called him but he didn't pick up. I got agitated as I really wanted to sleep and called a couple of his friends. I called his dad when his friends didn't pick up and subsequently, his brother when even his dad wasn't picking up.

I asked his brother what issues were at home and he told me about them and said he didn't know his brother had any plans to come home. I told him I thought my boyfriend was playing a bad April Fools stunt on me but I wasn't sure anymore. So I kept trying to call him all night but he just wasn't picking  up his phone.

By 5.20am on April 1st, my phone rang with the special ring tone I set for him and he was sounding like he was in a lot of pain. He said he was involved in a ghastly motor accident and was in Ore with a broken arm.

But I told you never to travel at night! How could you have risked your life so much, why on earth haven't you been picking your calls and please stop playing this silly games already where some of the thoughts that raced through my mind when he told me. But I calmed myself and told him that I thought he was playing a stunt on me all the while until I called his brother and he confirmed that there were issues at home.

He laughed and said 'April Fool!'

I didn't find it funny at all. I think April Fools jokes should be short, witty and interesting and they shouldn't keep people in suspense for too long. I also think they should be played between the speculated time between 12am and 12noon on April 1st and not before.

I sincerely think people have taken this April fools thing too far. I'm not mad at him, just sad that he doesn't love me as much as I thought otherwise, he'll be concerned about me to let me go through all that pain for no reason.

He's been apologizing and telling me how much he feels bad, but really, I just feel hurt and betrayed...really thought he loved me too much to do this for an ordinary Aprilfools day.
