Alamieyeseigha Can Contest For Election In 2015 — Presidency

The presidency, on Thursday, said following the granting of presidential pardon to former Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha by President Goodluck Jonathan, the former Bayelsa State governor can contest for election in 2015 if he so desires.

The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on Public Affairs, Dr Doyin Okupe, who stated this during a press conference in Abuja, said rights and privileges of Alamieyeseigha had been restored with the pardon, adding that he could now pursue any calling of his choice.

New Pope is a 76-year-old Argentine: Jorge Bergoglio, Archbishop of Buenos Aires. Name is Pope Francis

The new Pope has been unveiled as Argentine Jorge Mario Bergoglio, the Archbishop of Buenos Aires, who will take the name Pope Francis.

The 76-year-old was welcomed by tens of thousands of overjoyed Catholics in St. Peter's Square in the Vatican City after his election was revealed this afternoon at 6pm GMT when white smoke poured out of the chimney of the Sistine Chapel.

Tens of thousands cheered in St. Paul's Square at the sight of the symbolic plumes, announcing that the successor to Benedict XVI had finally been chosen after two days of intense voting.

With a puff of white smoke from the chimney of the Sistine Chapel and to the cheers of thousands of rain-soaked faithful, a gathering of Catholic cardinals picked a new pope from among their midst today,  Wednesday. The name of the new pope, the 266th pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church, by tradition would not be revealed until he appeared on a balcony on the front of St. Peter's Basilica.

"Habemus papam!," members of the crowd shouted in Latin, waving umbrellas and flags. "We have a pope!"

"It was like waiting for the birth of a baby, only better, " said a Roman man. A child sitting atop his father's shoulders waved a crucifix.

The tech giant has outfitted a pair of unassuming ADIDAS shoes with a computer a speaker, as well as an accelerometer, a gyroscope and a pressure sensor.

While making movements, the shoe can actually talk to the person wearing them.

Toke had a recent interview with ThisDay and she said this to them;

“Yes, we are back together,” “He’s a great guy. I never get to appreciate him as much as I want to and I look at my life and I look at where I am today and even the bad stuff we went though and the craziness we went though. It helped to shape me into the woman that I am today. We’ve been together for about 11 years''.

Chaz B Quits Inspiration FM

I hardly visit my facebook page but for some reason, I logged in yesterday via mobile and was quite surprised when the first thing I saw was Chaz B's notification of his resignation from Inspiration, 92.3 FM.

He didn't say why he left but from his note, you'll guess it won't be long before he joins another radio station. There were loads of comments lamenting his exit.

For those of you who do not know him, Chaz B is the guy behind 'Sharing life issues with Chaz B' an inspirational program that airs twice a week on 92.3fm.  It is very popular with women as he talks on life issues, profers solutions, give advice and say some very touching prayers.

He had a few haters but lots of people loved him and the program. I'm sure he'll be missed.

I Did Not Resign As Imo Deputy Governor – Agbaso

There were gist going around yesterday and even today that the Imo State Governor, Agboso had resigned from office last week in view of an impeachment for allegedly receiving N458 million bribe from a contractor, Joseph. The contractor was engaged by the state government to construct the Sam Mbakwe road in Owerri, the state capital..

The deputy governor said he hasn't received any  impeachment notice from the state house of assembly and has not resigned from office as reported.
