Omoye, if you were around, we’d have been making plans for your 28^th birthday for tomorrow. With all anticipation and joy and I, smiling from ear to ear like I’m the celebrant.

I met Omoye at my work place but she sooner became more of my friend than my colleague. She was younger than I but was so mature that I found myself asking her opinions on serious decisions. She was so full of love, so calm, so gentle and so beautiful in the inside. Her love was pure.

When I met Omoye, she wasn’t married yet but she was engaged. She loved her fiancé with a passion and it was so obvious, she made me want to fall in love. She treated her fiancé with so much respect and love, I learnt from her.  She was never shy too shy to show love, she was so inspiring.

Federal Government lifts Dana Airline’s suspension

The federal government has lifted the suspension of the Operating Licence of Dana Airlines.

A statement by the Special Assistant on media to the Minister of Aviation said on Wednesday that the lifting of the suspension follows government’s satisfaction with the air-worthiness of the airline after a rigorous technical, operational and financial audit of the airline.

A fight broke out between two friends, Evelyn Nze, 28 and her friend, Joy Oluchukwu, 27, over Joy’s claims that she has been sleeping with Evelyn’s husband in their house at Apapa.

Joy reportedly asked Evelyn how she managed to have all her children because she was sure that her husband was impotent.

400 children die from lead poisoning in Zamfara

An estimated 400 children have died from the inhalation of lead poison in six communities in Zamfara State due to improper mining practices.

 Hamzat Bala Lawal, the National Coordinator, African Youth Initiative on Climate Change (AYICC), Nigeria chapter, disclosed this on Wednesday in Abuja.

Lawal, who is also the Advisor, Nigerian Youth Climate Action Network (NYCAN), said that the root cause of the lead poisoning crisis was unsafe mining and ore processing.

A spokesperson for the Horst Schmidt Klinik in Wiesbaden, Germany has revealed that the First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan was in a bad state of health when she arrived at the hospital last week.

The hospital’s official, who confirmed that initial records showed that Mrs. Patience Jonathan had earlier been treated for food poisoning in Nigeria before being brought to the Horst Schmidt Klinik, however, said she was responding to treatment after she had undergone a major surgery for a ruptured appendix to remove the poisons in her intestine.

Globacom Manager 'Adebayo Ola-Smith' Commits suicide in Ibadan!

I don't know what could possibly lead a married man with children to commit suicide and blame it on his boss, but judging from the suicide note this Glo Area Marketing Manager left, that seemed to have been the case.

One of the Area Marketing Managers of Globacom Nigeria, Adebayo Ola-Smith committed suicide last Saturday, leaving a note in which he apologized to his wife and children.
It is also being speculated that the deceased blamed his action on his boss who he claimed was frustrating him.

Mandela features in New South African Currency

The Madiba himself shall be featured in the new banknotes to be introduced in South Africa soon.

The South African Reserve bank Governor, Gill Marcus, today said South Africa's currency should be a reflection of its culture and heritage.

"South Africa's banknotes have reflected aspects of its culture and heritage since the inception of the South African rand in 1961," said Marcus in her speech at the launch of the media campaign of the Nelson Mandela bank notes in Pretoria.

I don't where people get the idea that raping children is the 'in-thing'

A man in Harare who thought a 14 year old girl was a virgin was shocked when he tested positive after being  arrested for rape and ordered by the court to undergo an HIV test.

The gist is that the man took the girl to the  house which he shares with a friend and slept with her over 3 times overnight before letting her go home the next day.

When she got home, she told her elder sister what had happened and the man was arrested.

What Yimiton doesn't understand in this gist sha is how a man can test positive  few days after sleeping with an HIV positive girl. Doesn't that thing take time to be detected? Like 4 weeks I think?

Late Cynthia's BB traced to Port Harcourt Based Bizman

Cynthia Osokagu's BB was recently recovered from a portharcourt businessman. He was arrested when her  BB pin was traced to him. At the time of the arrest,  the phone had been flashed and all the information wiped off. 

The man who is based in Portharcourt said he bought the phone through a friend and got it shipped to him in Portharcourt.   

Na wa oh, this man probably didn't have a clue that he was buying a stolen phone when he was presented with it. 

Let's all be careful how we buy stolen second hand phones from these computer village boys.

Is Jimoh Ibrahim actually a business crasher? Air Nigeria operations suspended & workers sacked for disloyalty

When Jimoh Ibrahim just bought over Air Nigeria, my friend, Dianah, who was working with Air Nigeria at the time didn't blink an eyelid before she put in her resignation. Her reason, anything Jimoh Ibrahim buys fails! She went on to name a number of failed businesses accredited to his faulty management system.

At the time, I didn't quite believe her, I felt she walked away because she got bored with her job and had a better offer.

But today, hearing this about Air Nigeria, I wonder if this guy is actually a business crasher.
In as much as I'm happy my friend had left,  I feel bad for those members of staff who are still there.

I also wonder about people who had bought their tickets for future use. Will they loose their money or will they be refunded immediately.

My dear readers, please tell me, is Jimoh Ibrahim actually a joker like my friend said or is he just unfortunate in his choice of businesses?

It's been 2 whole days and I've not only missed you guys but I've also mightily missed blogging and my blog.
I didn't know blogging had become such a big part of my life until I couldn't blog or view my posts for 2 days. I guess it was for a good cause as I just bought my domain name yimiton.com and it took 2 whole days to get it working!

Oh my gosh. Beyonce 'snubbed' Kim Kardashian at Jay-Z & Kanye West 'Made In America festival'

 Why aren't I surprised, the very Classy Beyonce wouldn't be seen frolicking with the Perfect Bitch Reality Star.
Recall that Beyonce's fans were outraged when it seemed like there was a  budding friendship between she and Kim, when they both stood together and watched their partners in concert. Beyonce's little sister, Selonge didn't find it interesting at all, so, it wasn't surprising that 'Kim and Beyonce barely spoke to each other at Jay-Z and Kanye West concert.

Hi Yimiton, I'm a faithful reader of your blog but hardly leave comments as I'm quite a busy person. 

I do have a serious problem though and I'll need some candid advice from some matured minded people. Please publish this on your blog. 

I have been dating a lady for 4 years and I love her deeply. She's the epitome of a good wife, very pretty, well educated with a great job. She also loves my family and respects me deeply. I'm thinking it's high time I asked her to be my wife and walk her to the isle but for this little problem.....she's a drunk. She drinks a lot without restrictions.

Train carrying over 900 passengers rammed into a trailer truck in Lagos.

Over nine hundred passengers escaped death yesterday morning when a 10-coach Iddo bound train rammed into a trailer truck at Ilupeju Railway crossing near Oshodi, Lagos.

 An eye witness said that the articulated vehicle blocked the railway crossing when the train was already close by.

The loaded trailer had crashed into the double barriers on the railway crossing shortly before the train arrived.
