| Adia Okoi Eni Ubi |
A 25-year old woman, Eni Ubi, is in court for pouring hot water mixed with pepper on the face of another 25-year old woman, Adiah Okoi, while they fought over who had the right to marry a man identified as Eteng Livinus.
Eni is currently in prison while her victim is admitted at the Orile-Agege General Hospital in Lagos.
The 2 women had publicly fought over this same man and Eni went in, boiled water, mixed with pepper and poured it on Adiah's face which burnt her face badly.
Eni said she'd warned Adia to stay away from her man whom she claimed met her in Akwa Ibom and brought her to Lagos since 2008 and they'd been living together as a couple but recently, he seemed to have been giving too much attention to Adia and was planning to ditch her and marry Adia.
Meanwhile Eteng said he didn't want to marry Eni anymore because he had caught Eni cheating on him and had told her to move out of the house but she wouldn't bulge, so he brought in Adia, the new woman.
Adia's own side of the story is that Eteng told her that he'd broken up with Eni and wanted to marry her.
Anyways, eventually, Eni was charged to court but she pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of 50k with 2 sureties in like manner. They couldn't produce the money, so she's being held in prison.
The case was adjourned till July, 11th 2012
Over a man? Shame on both of them. Eventually now, is not like the man is likely to marry any of them. Yimu for both of them!

ReplyDeleteDesperate women. 'I must get married syndrome' is what made them this way. Must everybody get married? so she was living with a man for 4 years and was still cheating on him. All these Calabar women, what did she expect? mchew.
ReplyDeleteMcheew, if you check now, it will be one good for nothing man that can't take care of himself talk-less of a woman. I wonder why women are so desperate these days. Will the other woman say she didn't see that there was someone living with the man? All these women living in self deceit.
ReplyDeleteVillage ways, why will you mix pepper with hot water to bath a rival. Inshort, it should be treated as attempted murder.
